Genomic Medicine

FUNDING ORGANISATION:

Programa de becas de Posdoctorado Junior Leader para realizar un proyecto de investigación posdoctoral en Universidades y Centros de Investigación españoles o portugueses.

Es objeto de esta convocatoria promover la realización de proyectos de investigación en ciencias de la salud y de los cuidados sociosanitarios, con la finalidad de contribuir a la mejora de la salud de la población. Los proyectos de investigación podrán desarrollarse en el campo de la investigación clínica, de la salud pública y de los servicios sanitarios y sociosanitarios, así como estar orientados a la mejora de la salud o de los procesos y a las tecnologías de investigación biomédica.

BLANCA: El proyecto BLANCA tiene como objetivo desarrollar vacunas para el tratamiento del cáncer de mama triple negativo y el cáncer de hígado más prevalente, el hepatocarcinoma (HCC). Ambos son tumores de mal pronóstico en los que existe cierta respuesta a la inmunoterapia, pero es preciso avanzar en su abordaje.

Proyecto coordinado desde CIMA, centro de investigación de la Clínica Universidad de Navarra. 
Participan los servicios de Digestivo, Alergología (Inmunología), Hematología y Anatomía Patológica del Complejo Hospitalario de Navarra.
La participación de Navarrabiomed se realiza desde la Plataforma de Proteómica cuyo Investigador Principal es Joaquín Fernández-Irigoyen.
También forman parte del equipo la Clínica Universidad de Navarra, Bionanoplus, la asociación SARAY y ADItech. 
 

NAGEN: NAGEN-Mx project (Development and evaluation of a personalized breast cancer screening strategy in Navarre) is an initiative led by the biomedical research center Navarrabiomed, whose main objective is to contribute to personalized screening of breast cancer in Navarre, through the study of the human genome in different risk groups of population to refer to special care those women carriers of specific gene with greater predisposition to develop breast cancer.

The coordination of the project lays on the Genomic Medicine Research Unit, by Ángel Alonso Sánchez, Principal Investigator of both, the project and the unit.

This project is part of the NAGEN Program, which pursues the advancement in the knowledge and use of genomic analysis technology in the public health network of Navarre.

Navarrabiomed and the Hospital Complex of Navarre lead the NAGEN PEDIATRICS project, an initiative approved by the Government of Navarra in the call for Grants to carry out strategic R&D projects 2020-2022 in the GEMA challenge of Genomics and Advanced Medicine. This call finances cutting-edge R&D projects in areas and challenges of special interest to society and to Navarre.

The coordination of the project lays on the Genomic Medicine Research Unit, by Josune Hualde Olascoaga, Principal Investigator of the project in collaboration with the Pediatric Service of the CHN.

This project is part of the NAGEN Program, which pursues the advancement in the knowledge and use of genomic analysis technology in the public health network of Navarre.
