NAGEN: NAGEN-Mx project (Development and evaluation of a personalized breast cancer screening strategy in Navarre) is an initiative led by the biomedical research center Navarrabiomed, whose main objective is to contribute to personalized screening of breast cancer in Navarre, through the study of the human genome in different risk groups of population to refer to special care those women carriers of specific gene with greater predisposition to develop breast cancer.
The coordination of the project lays on the Genomic Medicine Research Unit, by Ángel Alonso Sánchez, Principal Investigator of both, the project and the unit.
This project is part of the NAGEN Program, which pursues the advancement in the knowledge and use of genomic analysis technology in the public health network of Navarre.
