HEALCIER project aims to improve the competitiveness of the healthcare value chain by implementing the principles of the circular economy.
It will be led by Azaro Fundazioa and the consortium is completed by the following entities: Association of the Biocruces Bizkaia Health Research Institute, Navarrabiomed, AIN - Navarra and Estia Industry Association - Ecole Supérieure Des Technologies Industrielles Avancées (ESTIA).
In addition to sensitizing the healthcare value chain, a diagnosis will be made of the opportunities and potential of the circular economy in healthcare centers in order to identify the main sources of environmental and economic impact. In this way, a map of circular economy opportunities will be defined and at least 3 opportunities for the implementation of the circular economy will be designed and tested in the health care centers participating in the project.
HEALCIER project is co-financed at 65% by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through the Interreg V-A Spain-France-Andorra Program (POCTEFA 2014-2020).
