Precision medicine in hepatobiliary cancer - BILEBANK 2
Project funded within the framework of the New Aquitaine-Euskadi-Navarra Euroregion, a common space for cooperation to promote projects that contribute to the economic, social and cultural development of the Euroregion on a cross-border, interregional and European scale.
BILEBANK 2 was born as a continuation of the BILEBANK project, and aims to extend the implementation of the BILEBANK platform to two large hospital centers in the Euroregion. Specifically, the Cruces University Hospital (Barakaldo, Euskadi), and the Hôpital Haut-Lévêque of the Groupe Hospitalier Sud (Pessac, Nouvelle Aquitaine). The incorporation of these two large hospital centers will allow the second objective of the project to be carried out, which is the multicenter validation of the BILEMUT trial for the early discrimination of malignant biliary strictures in different territories of the Euroregion.
BILEBANK is a project led by the Foundation for Applied Medical Research – FIMA, with the participation of the Biocruces Bizkaia Health Research Institute Association and the University of Bordeaux (Université Bordeaux). Navarrabiomed's participation is led by Jesús María Urman Fernández, member of the Digestive Endoscopy Research Unit.
