Research project founded by Euroregion Nueva Aquitania - Euskadi - Navarra, a common space agreement to promote research that might contribute to economic, social and cultural development of the Euroregion at a cross-border, interregional and national level.
Cystoscope is considered an invasive procedure and one of the principal risks associated with bladder or urinary tract infecction. This is the reason why this project comes up: develop of a cystoscope sheath to prevent infections. In line with Euroregion work, this project aims to respond to a need of healthcare personnel, allowing them to save time.
Xsleeve is a project led by Deflastrat S.L. with the participation of Hospital Universitario de Navarra-Navarrabiomed, Vidorreta Design and Olaberria-Aquitania. Navarrabiomed´s participation is conducted by Eduardo Albéniz Arbizu, principal investigator of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Research Unit.
