The Joint European Programme on Rare Diseases (EJP RD) is launching this call with the aim of fostering the exchange of knowledge on rare diseases and rare cancers between health professionals, researchers and patients.
To this end, the call offers grants for the funding of events (workshops or conferences), aimed at:
-Forming new research networks or expanding existing research networks.
-Strengthen collaborations.
-Enabling knowledge exchange.
It is expected that, as a result of these events, new collaborative and innovative research in the field of rare diseases will be generated.
Although preference will be given to face-to-face meetings, virtual meetings will also be eligible given the current exceptional circumstances.
Application to this call will remain open on a rolling basis, with a review of applications every three months. The event must be held between 6 and 18 months after application.
Requirements for Applicants:
Healthcare professionals, researchers and patient associations belonging to one of the EJP RD programme member countries: Armenia*, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria*, Croatia*, Czech Republic*, Denmark, Estonia*, Finland, France, Germany, Georgia*, Greece, Hungary*, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia*, Lithuania*, Luxembourg, Malta*, Norway, Poland*, Portugal, Romania*, Serbia*, Slovakia*, Slovenia*, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Turkey* and the United Kingdom are eligible to apply in the call.
Countries marked with * are considered under-represented in the field of rare disease research, and their participation in consortia will be prioritised in the call.
Consortium requirements:
Applications must be submitted by consortia consisting of at least one lead applicant and two co-applicants belonging to three different countries.
The applicant consortium may invite other entities to the event, without limitation in the number of participants.
