Artificial Intelligence and Approximate Reasoning

The Group for Artificial Intelligence and Approximate Reasoning (GIARA) was founded in 2002 by Humberto Bustince, Chair Professor at the Public University of Navarre. GIARA is a multidisciplinary team (physicists, mathematicians, computer engineers and industrial engineers) that has a strong track record and a career with notable national and international impact. Its work focuses on the theoretical study of information fusion, the handling of uncertainty and fuzzy sets and their extensions, as well as on the development of models and applications in the fields of Data Mining, Big Data and Image Processing Deep Learning and Computational Neuroscience, among others.

• Decision Making: multi-criteria, consensus, preference relations, recommendation systems
• Computer Vision: image processing, magnification/reduction, edge detection, stereo vision
