Navarrabiomed participates in the European Procure4Health project to promote innovative public procurement in the SNS-O (Osasunbidea Navarra Health System)
The Innovation Unit of Navarrabiomed will be part of the European project Procure4Health, through the call Twinnings, to identify and prioritize the needs to prepare innovative public procurement (IPP) projects and action plans in the socio-healthcare sector. With a budget of almost 30,000 euros, financed by the European Community, the project will allow work in collaboration with the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau with extensive experience in innovative public procurement processes since 2015 and embracing innovation and value-based models through IPP.
Specifically, it is about transferring to the Miguel Servet - Navarrabiomed Foundation knowledge and experience related to the use of a product or service, process or methodology, strategy or contracting model. During six months, different initiatives will be launched (from the initial analysis of the situation to the feasibility analysis of the application of the IPP in the system) to favour an effective knowledge transfer between both partners. After this first phase, the knowledge will be implemented in the Navarra Health Service - Osasunbidea that will identify the departments and professionals that should be involved in the innovative public procurement process.
A network for public procurement of healthcare innovation
Innovative solutions are essential to efficiently provide better public services at a good value for money in the long term. IPP guarantees transparent and effective processes that facilitate equal access and open competition. The Procure4Health project aims to create a community of buyers and stakeholders in the healthcare IPP.
The network focuses on buyers, attracting both those with experience and those without, and training all agents involved in the IPP. In this context, the Twinnings call is a tool to allow the exchange of knowledge between entities of the socio-health sector in the field of the IPP. Specifically, it actively promotes the acquisition of innovation through the exchange of knowledge and the development of skills, establishes a network of contacts, and identifies common needs, among others.
