CEIN and Navarrabiomed Innovation Service Representatives Meet to Strengthen Strategic Collaboration Between Both Institutions

•     During the visit, Navarrabiomed presented the capabilities, infrastructure, and services it offers to Navarra’s biotechnology ecosystem.

The Innovation Scientific-Technical Service of Navarrabiomed recently held a strategic meeting with representatives of the European Centre for Business and Innovation of Navarra (CEIN) to identify collaboration opportunities and foster synergies in the fields of research, innovation, and knowledge transfer. The meeting provided an opportunity to showcase Navarrabiomed’s extensive portfolio of scientific and technical services and infrastructures, which may be of interest to CEIN-affiliated startups, while also exploring potential areas for joint work in research and innovation projects of strategic relevance to the Chartered Community of Navarra.

Representing CEIN were Olga Romero Busqué, Entrepreneurship Technician, and Eva Gómara Chivite, Head of Innovation Incubators. They were welcomed by Javier Gómez-Arrue Azpiazu, Director of Navarrabiomed, together with Beatriz Pérez Urbina and Estibaliz Armendariz Zubillaga, Heads of the Innovation and Projects Services, respectively.

A Broad Range of Services for the Community

Navarrabiomed’s eight scientific-technical services provide the scientific and business communities with a wide range of specialized capabilities aimed at researchers, healthcare professionals, academic institutions, and industry stakeholders alike. During the visit, particular attention was paid to the services offered by the Innovation Service, the Advanced Therapies Clean Room, and the Proteomics Service.

Beatriz Pérez presented the various activities carried out by the Innovation Service, highlighting in particular its support for the development and validation of healthcare technologies. These resources may be especially valuable for companies based in CEIN’s innovation incubators and for professionals participating in initiatives such as the CEIN Health programme, which require the clinical validation of medical devices and other innovative healthcare solutions. As a result of the meeting, both organizations agreed to organize a training session at CEIN’s facilities to introduce companies within the entrepreneurial ecosystem to the opportunities and resources available for healthcare technology validation.

For their part, Natalia Ramírez Huerto and Joaquín Fernández Irigoyen, heads of the Clean Room and Proteomics Services, presented the main capabilities, equipment, and recently introduced developments within both infrastructures. These services offer significant support potential for CEIN-linked biotechnology and healthcare companies, facilitating the development and scaling of their innovation projects.
