PREMED Programme aims to support translational research projects in the personalized medicine field, to support and promote the mutidisciplinarity building narrow links between pre-clinical or clinical, computational science, medical informatics and research in ethical, legal and socioeconomic aspects (ELSA)
Research proposals submitted under this call are expected to demonstrate the applicability of project outcomes to clinical practice and to combine clinical research with data technologies. This could be the development and application of clinical decision support tools by using artificial intelligence (AI) systems approaches, including machine learning technologies. The clinical relevance of the proposed PM approach needs to be convincingly demonstrated. Moreover, proposals must include research on ethical, legal and social aspects.
As Personalised Medicine is non-disease-specific, but rather an overall approach that can be adopted and adapted to a multiplicity of medical conditions, research projects in every disease entity are encouraged.
PERMED call has a two step structure:
First step: Pre-proposal project presentation. The deadline for submitting applications in the first phase is from December 14, 2020 to March 4, 2021.
Seconds step: Selected pre-proposals require a detailed full proposal with a new deadline of December 14, 2021.
The Government of Navarra participates in this call with 1 million euros and through it wants to reflect its commitment to a concentration of resources in the development areas that can most drive the regional economy towards the future and it has identified Personalized Medicine as one of its priority areas.
The financing of the navarrese partners of the projects that are approved will be carried out according to the current regulations of the Department of Economic and Business Development, within the framework of the call for aid that is published for this purpose.
